NAMA announces Senior Debt redemption of €1.09 billion
- NAMA’s outstanding Senior Debt now reduced to 5% (€1.5 billion) of its original level of €30.2 billion

The National Asset Management Agency (NAMA) has redeemed €1.09 billion of Senior Notes today (Wednesday 8th February 2017), its first redemption in 2017.
This brings to €28.69 billion the amount of senior debt redeemed to date, representing 95% of the €30.2 billion of senior debt originally issued in 2010 and 2011 to acquire bank loans.
Today’s redemption means NAMA’s senior debt now stands at €1.5 billion, 5% of its original level. The agency remains firmly on course, subject to market conditions, to meet its ultimate target of redeeming all of its senior debt by end-2017.
